Los Miradores – Water Sports and Beaches

From £4.40 per person per night……A spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom first floor apartment sleeping up to 6 persons, with easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs!  Situated on the La Manga del Mar Menor it offers spectacular views over the Mar Menor and the Tomas Maestre Marina from the spacious balcony, and has an onsite swimming pool (unheated), separate toddlers’ pool, paddle tennis court and children’s play area.  And it’s just a short stroll to the local beaches!  The surrounding area is very flat, with easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs (even onto the beaches).

The apartment is equipped with everything necessary for a self-catering holiday.  The local supermarket with bakery and newsagent is just two minutes down the road.  Situated alongside the apartments is the luxury 4* Luabay Abity Spa hotel which offers a range of massage and spa treatments, a restaurant offering Spanish and European cuisine, and also a Japanese restaurant. The hotel unfortunately is not yet open all year round, but there is a choice of restaurants within walking distance, plus a further amazing selection of restaurants in the Marina opposite.

A car is not necessary if you just want to chill-out around the pool and on the local beaches, and there is a local bus which travels up and down La Manga strip and as far as Cartagena.  If you do hire a car you are only a 10 minute drive from a wide selection of water-sports, golf, activities, late night shopping and bars, and within easy access of historic cities, harbours and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

The apartment is ideal during Spring, Autumn & Winter for a quiet break, or a great family holiday during the summer months.

This is a great place to get away from it all and relax, and yet within an area that offers a superb choice of watersports, including scuba-diving, windsurfing & sailing; plus cosmopolitan cities; nature reserves; waterpark; traditional villages; cycling and hiking trails.

La Torre Golf Resort

A spacious luxury penthouse apartment with large balcony, plus solarium/terrace, all on one level. The balcony overlooks the gardens with two swimming pools, jacuzzi pool and play area. The terrace is dual-aspect, overlooking gardens to the north and golf course and driving range to the south. So you can choose sun or shade at any time of the day! Satellite TV is provided, plus an internal telephone to book tee-times, restaurants, or place an order for the supermarket.  Pay-as-you-go internet access is also available.

The apartment is within the gated Polaris World La Torre Golf Resort, situated almost opposite the Clubhouse and just a minute’s walk from the town centre, which has shops, bank, choice of bars & restaurants, and medical facilities. A large supermarket with bakery & newsagents is just a few minutes walk away. The recently opened 5* hotel is just a short stroll away, and offers indoor swimming, spa facilities & entertainment.  During the winter months some of the town centre facilities are shut, but with easy access to the local town of Roldan we have never found this a problem.

For the golfer, this is an exceptional resort offering a par 68 18-hole course, free shuttle bus transport to 3 further Polaris Golf courses in the area, and tee-times which can be booked from your apartment!

La Torre is an easy 20 mins drive from the Mar Menor – the promenade at San Javier is 11 km in length, and just 15 minutes drive from San Javier airport. Centrally situated with easy access to Murcia’s major tourist attractions, it is ideal for golfers and non-golfers alike.

This apartment is managed for us by Overseas Keys, and guests are met either at the airport at San Javier, or at the apartment itself. During the summer months Polaris organise fiestas and there are various events and entertainment throughout the year.  For example La Torre hosted a semi-final of the Davies Cup in September 2009.  More details can be found on the Polaris Golf websites.

The Region of Murcia

Between Alicante and Andalucia lies the region of Murcia; with 235Km of coast line and 315 days of sunshine per year.  With average highs in August of 34 degrees and average highs in December of 17 degrees this is the place to be at any time of the year!

Murcia offers something for everyone; beaches, mountains, nature reserves, the historic yet cosmopolitan cities of Murcia and Cartagena, traditional villages and modern shopping centres. With walking, cycling, golf, scuba-diving and an amazing variety of water-sports around the Mar Menor also available, Murcia is ideal for an active holiday, an historic tour, or just getting away from it all!  But don’t just take my word for it, check out an amazing website which will give you information on what’s on in the area week by week – where the fiestas are, guided tours available, where to eat, where to visit, and even a run-down on the local beaches! Long and Short Breaks

We have two holiday apartments on the Costa Calida, but these are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill holiday accommodations.  These are spacious, well-situated and exceptionally well-maintained luxury apartments – so you can enjoy a stress-free holiday in the sun but with the comfort of home.   You are not restricted to specific days for bookings – you can book a week, a fortnight, or just a long weekend, and we take bookings to and from any day of the week, so you can personalise your holiday to suit you (and to take advantage of cheaper flights)!  You can even escape from the UK weather for the winter!

We have special rates for longer bookings, but also check out the website for a last minute break – you may be pleasantly surprised at the discounts offered!  Prices are for the apartment for 7 days (not per person).

We will hold a provisional booking for 48 hours so you can confirm your flight times, and we have an online calendar  so you can immediately check availability.

Budget airlines fly to Murcia (San Javier) Airport and include Ryanair, Jet2, BMI Baby and EasyJet.  Flying into Alicante will add about an hour and a half to your journey time, whilst from San Javier Airport it is just 15 minutes to La Torre and 40 minutes to Los Miradores.

Some clients have enjoyed their holiday without driving at all, but we would recommend hiring a car for at least part of your trip to make the most of the area. To arrange transfers to and from the airport you may find this website useful, or contact us for details of our recommended shuttle service.

Got back yesterday from spending the last couple of weeks at your place and I just wanted to write to thank you for our wonderful hassle/stress free holiday. The place was absolutely perfect and my wife and I really enjoyed our holiday without a cross word for the whole period considering the two small children to keep happy too !! The buses run frequently along the whole strip and the boat from Marina to St Javier running every couple of hours, so we did not need a car, with 2 different beaches at the doorstep, good size pools for the children and adults and views across from the apartment I would certainly recommend this place to all young and old, and hope to be able to go back again next year or sooner if we can get away.
