La Torre Golf Resort

A spacious top floor apartment with large balcony, plus solarium/terrace, all on one level. The balcony overlooks the gardens with two swimming pools, low level jacuzzi/children’s pool and play area. The wrap-around terrace overlooks the gardens to the north, and golf course and driving range to the south with distant views of the mountains. Satellite TV is provided, plus an internal telephone to book tee-times, restaurants, or place an order for the supermarket. Free Internet and Wi-Fi are also available.

La Torre Golf Resort is gated community just a 5 minute drive from the local village of Roldan. The resort has its own town centre with shops, bank, bars, restaurants and taxi firm, plus a large supermarket with bakery, newsagents and gift shop. There is also a 5* hotel within the resort which has an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, gym and spa facilities which are available to all guests. In 2011 a day pass for the hotel’s pool, sauna & gym was 10 euros per day, with a reduced weekly rate.

Our apartment is situated almost opposite the Clubhouse, two minutes’ walk from the town centre, and for golfers just two minutes’ walk to the 1st tee. The resort is quieter during the winter months but with easy access to the local town of Roldan we have never found this a problem. There is also free transport to a number of restaurants on the adjacent commercial centre, delivery of take-away food, and a free bus during the week to 2 further golf courses.

For the golfer, La Torre offers a par 68 18-hole course, free shuttle bus transport to 2 further Polaris Golf courses in the area, tee-times which can be booked from your apartment, and easy access to 5 further golf courses in the area!

La Torre is an easy 20 mins drive from the Mar Menor, San Javier beach – which boast a promenade 11km in length – and the town and facilities of Alcazares. Just 10 minutes drive from La Torre is the town of Torre Pacheco which has an open air market, medical and dental facilities, and a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.

This apartment is managed for us by a local English-speaking couple. Guests are met at the main gate and shown into the apartment, and they are then on hand should you have an queries during your stay. During the months of July and August, La Torre has a programme of fiestas, events and entertainment. More details can be found on the Polaris Golf websites.

Los Miradores – Water Sports and Beaches

A spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom first floor apartment sleeping up to 6 persons. Situated on La Manga del Mar Menor it offers spectacular views over the Mar Menor and the Tomas Maestre Marina from the spacious balcony, and has an onsite swimming pool (unheated), separate toddlers’ pool, paddle tennis court and children’s play area. And it’s just a short stroll to the local beaches! Easy access to the apartment, pool and even the beaches for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The apartment is equipped with everything necessary for a self-catering holiday. We have furnished it for comfort. The beds have firm mattresses with the addition of non-allergenic mattress toppers for additional comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full oven, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine.

The local supermarket with bakery and newsagent is just a minute down the road. Alongside the apartments is the luxury 4* Luabay Abity Spa hotel offering a range of massage and spa treatments, and two restaurants offering Spanish European and Japanese cuisine. The hotel is not yet open all year round, but there is a further choice of restaurants within walking distance, plus an amazing selection of restaurants in the Marina opposite.

A car is not necessary if you just want to chill-out around the pool and on the local beaches, and there is a local bus which travels up and down La Manga strip and as far as Cartagena. If you do hire a car you are only a 10 minute drive from a wide selection of water-sports, golf, activities, late night shopping and bars, and within easy access of historic cities, harbours and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

The apartment is ideal during Spring, Autumn & Winter for a quiet break, or a great family holiday during the summer months. Fully air conditioned and with underfloor heating, these charges are included the price quoted.

This is a great place to get away from it all and relax, and yet within an area that offers a superb choice of watersports, including scuba-diving, windsurfing & sailing; plus cosmopolitan cities; nature reserves; waterpark; traditional villages; cycling and hiking trails.

The Region of Murcia

Between Alicante and Andalucia lies the region of Murcia; with 235Km of coast line and 315 days of sunshine per year. With average highs in August of 34 degrees and average highs in December of 17 degrees this is the place to be at any time of the year!

Murcia offers something for everyone; beaches, mountains, nature reserves, the historic yet cosmopolitan cities of Murcia and Cartagena, traditional villages and modern shopping centres. With walking, cycling, golf, scuba-diving and an amazing variety of water-sports around the Mar Menor also available, Murcia is ideal for an active holiday, an historic tour, or just getting away from it all! Long and Short Breaks

We have two holiday apartments on the Costa Calida, but these are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill holiday apartments. These are spacious, well-situated and exceptionally well-maintained luxury apartments – so you can enjoy a stress-free holiday in the sun but with the comfort of home. You are not restricted to specific days for bookings – you can book a week, a fortnight, or just a long weekend, and we take bookings to and from any day of the week, so you can personalise your holiday to suit you (and to take advantage of cheaper flights)! You can even escape from the UK weather for the winter!

We have special rates for longer bookings, but also check out the website for a last minute break – you may be pleasantly surprised at the discounts offered! Prices are for the apartment for 7 days (not per person), with no extra charges for heating and airconditioning.

We will hold a provisional booking for 48 hours so you can confirm your flight times, and we have an online calendar so you can immediately check availability (but please confirm your accommodation before booking flights).

Budget airlines fly to Murcia (San Javier) Airport and include Ryanair, Jet2, BMI Baby and EasyJet. Flying into Alicante will add about an hour and a half to your journey time, whilst from San Javier Airport it is just 15 minutes to La Torre and 40 minutes to Los Miradores.

Some clients have enjoyed their holiday without driving at all, but we would recommend hiring a car for at least part of your trip to make the most of the area. The penthouse is situated in an ideal location, close to the main square and supermarket. It over looks two very well kept pools, that our kids were still using at 10pm in the evening. The place was absolutely perfect and my wife and I really enjoyed our holiday. The buses run frequently along the whole strip and the boat from the Marina to St Javier ran every couple of hours, so we did not need a car, with 2 different beaches at the doorstep, good size pools for the children and adults and views across from the apartment.
